Xtremesoft Announces Joint Technology Agreement With Microsoft
To Provide Additional Application Management
For BizTalk Server 2000

-- Agreement to Provide Fully Integrated and Robust Application Management for Customers Deploying BizTalk Server 2000 Applications --

Woburn, Massachusetts: September 26, 2000 - Xtremesoft, Inc, a leading supplier of application management solutions, today announced at Microsoft's Enterprise 2000 Launch a three-year technology access and market development agreement with Microsoft to provide additional management and monitoring capabilities for applications built using BizTalk Server 2000.

Under the terms of this agreement, Xtremesoft and Microsoft will cooperate on the technical development of BizTalk Server 2000 management software. The solutions developed under this agreement will help manage BizTalk Server 2000 applications and expedite e-business transactions on a wide variety of BizTalk Server 2000 deployment scenarios -- from an application integrating processes within an enterprise to a distributed application running across multiple enterprises.

"As Global 2000 companies design, implement, and deploy the next-generation of Internet-based business solutions, it becomes imperative to be able to manage and orchestrate their mission-critical business processes," said David Wascha, product manager, BizTalk Server 2000, Microsoft. "BizTalk Server 2000 with Xtremesoft is helping companies leverage these corporate assets, in turn making it fundamentally easier to integrate disparate applications that span platforms and businesses over the Internet."

Xtremesoft Business Bandwidth™ solutions are currently available for applications built using Microsoft Transaction Server on Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft COM+ on Windows 2000. These application management solutions include AppMetrics™ software, which provides information and alerts about the success of mission-critical applications while offering a crucial guideline for future application capacity requirements. Under this agreement, Xtremesoft will extend its Business Bandwidth™ solutions to manage BizTalk Server applications.

"We believe that Microsoft's BizTalk initiative and the .NET Framework will fundamentally change the landscape for applications and Internet-delivered services, and we are proud that Xtremesoft will contribute towards achieving Microsoft's vision of 'friction-free commerce over the Internet,'" said Xtremesoft President Steve Weiss. "The agreement we are announcing today will enable customers to maximize business bandwidth when they use our management solution to optimize applications created with Microsoft's leading edge technology."
